I became aware of Slom through his contributions to the compilations “Altogether, Part Three” and “Fear And Loathing In Beats“. Thanks to his recently released EP “Alone” on Radio Juicy he will surely become a household name for many more beat lovers.
The South Korean grew up with funk and jazz and when I listen to the 7 tracks on “Alone”, I have the feeling that soul played an important role too. He combines warm sounds with electronic elements and crispy drums in a great way. Also in the mix are Blanda, Maverick Soul and Slowya.roll, the other great new discovery from Radio Juicy this year.
