It’s no secret that Prop Dylan is a dope rapper. He is also a great guy and I had the pleasure to hang out with him several times when he was on tour in Switzerland. What’s less known is that he also has skills as a producer.
He proves this under his producer alias Gravy Sparks on the album “The Sound Of Technicolor”. As on his rap releases, the boom-bap sound dominates, but he also lets jazz and soul influences flow in which results in some very smooth and also experimental productions. Last but not least, as the press release says, there is a touch of Swedish melancholy.
“The Sound Of Technicolor” can also be ordered here on tape.
