Mac Ayres – “Juicebox”

Mac Ayres

Obviously I was so blown away from the new Snoh Aalegra album last Friday that I completely missed that Mac Ayres also released a new record.

Reliably the New Yorker delivers every year a new album and like the strong “Drive Slow” and “Something To Feel” also “Juicebox” impresses.

Uptempo tracks with a pinch of funk, groovy slow jams and influences from smooth R&B to Neo Soul and HipHop make it a very versatile piece of art. The 16 songs work is rounded off by interesting guest contributions by DJ Harrison, Tiffany Gouché, UHMEER, 9th Wonder and Butcher Brown.
