Masok – “The Bigger The Risk”

Masok The Bigger The Risk

According to the Spotify evaluation, I heard music from 52 countries this year. So why not soul music from Tel Aviv?

With “The Bigger The Risk” the four-piece band presented their debut album, which they themselves call Future Soul. In fact, they incorporate many electronic sounds in addition to more classical soul elements, which gives their sound a contemporary touch. On the ten songs they also incorporate the different influences of the four band members, ranging from R&B to soul, rap and indie rock. Their raw tape labelmate Rejoicer was also involved in one song by the way. Apart from the very unique sound, the tracks are also characterized by the wonderfully clear voice of Jenny Penkin.

Definitely a promising discovery!
